CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE PATTERNS INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: hem allowance – 2.0 cm; other seams 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

• From main fabric:
  • Upper back part – 2 pieces
  • Lower back part – 1 piece with fold
  • Upper front part – 2 pieces
  • Lower front part – 2 pieces
  • Sleeve – 2 pieces
  • Cuff – 2 pieces
  • Back neckline facing – 1 piece
  • Front facing – 2 pieces
• From fusible interfacing:
  • Front facing – 2 pieces
  • Back neckline facing – 1 piece
  • Cuff – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
2. Stitch darts on back pieces, trim dart depths, press towards the center, and overcast. Stitch the center back seam. Press seam allowances to the left side and overcast.
3. Stitch the upper and lower back parts. Press seam allowance upwards and overcast.
4. Stitch the upper and lower front parts. Overcast seam allowance and press upwards. Along the shoulder edge of the front, stitch with loosened upper thread and gather.
5. Stitch shoulder and side seams, press seam allowances open and overcast.
6. Cut a bias strip 2.5 cm wide and 10 cm long for the loop. Fold the strip lengthwise in half, right sides together, and stitch 0.3 cm from the fold. Trim seam allowances close to the stitching, turn the strip right side out, and straighten the rouleau. Adjust the loop length.
7. Stitch and press open the shoulder edges of the back neckline facing and front facings. Overcast the outer edge. Place the front facings with the facing on the right side of the front, right side down, pin, and stitch the front edge, neckline, and lower corner of the front edge, inserting the loop. Trim seams at corners. Topstitch the seam allowance of the front edge facing onto the front facing. Position the stitching 0.2 cm from the seam. Turn the front edges right side out, straighten the seams. Press the hem of the garment.
8. Overcast sleeve edges separately. Stitch the sleeve seam from the armhole to the slit mark, press seam allowances open. Topstitch the slit 0.1 cm from the fold. Along the lower edge of the sleeve, stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Set sleeves into armholes, press seam allowances and overcast.
9. Fold cuff pieces lengthwise in half, right sides together, and stitch the side edges. Start and end stitching precisely at the marked seam line for attaching the cuff. Turn the piece right side out, press. Attach the outer side of the cuff to the sleeve, fold the seam allowance of the inner side of the cuff inwards and topstitch into the seam of attaching the outer cuff.
10. Overcast the lower edge of the garment, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
11. On the cuffs, overcast buttonholes and sew on buttons. Sew a button on the front.
12. Overcast the inner buttonhole on the left front facing. Sew on the inner button.
