Fabric recommendations: blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers with elastane. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing; 2 buttons.

CUTTER'S MUST

SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 1.2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

• From main fabric:
  • Back – 1 piece on fold
  • Front – 2 pieces
  • Sleeve – 2 pieces
  • Cuff – 2 pieces
  • Front facing – 2 pieces
  • Back neckline facing – 1 piece
• From fusible interfacing:
  • Cuff – 2 pieces
  • Front facing – 2 pieces
  • Back neckline facing – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
2. On the shoulder edges of the front, create and secure pleats. Stitch the shoulder edges, press allowances towards the back, serge.
3. Stitch the shoulder edge of the front facing and neckline facing, clip and press allowances open. Serge the outer edge. Place the front facing and neckline facing onto the right side of the main garment and stitch the right front edge from the center back to the hem. Stitch the left front edge from the center back to the mark, clip allowances at the mark. Clip allowances at curves, turn the front facing to the wrong side and press. Serge the allowances of the left front edge from the mark to the hem.
4. Overlap the right front over the left and topstitch along the right front edge from the vertical mark to the hem. Topstitch from the vertical mark of the right front edge, along the neckline, and along the left front edge.
5. Stitch the side seams, press allowances towards the back, serge.
6. Make a slit on the sleeve along the marked line. Cut a bias binding from the main fabric, 4 cm wide and a length equal to twice the slit length + 4 cm. Fold the binding in half lengthwise and press. Press the outer allowances towards the center. Finish the sleeve slit with bias binding. Create and secure a pleat on the sleeve. The depth is directed away from the closure.
7. Stitch the sleeve seam, press allowances towards the back and serge. Set the sleeves into the armholes, press allowances and serge.
8. Fold the cuff pieces in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the side edges. Start and end the stitching precisely at the marked cuff attachment seam line. Turn the piece right side out, press. Attach the outer side of the cuff to the sleeve, fold the allowance of the inner side of the cuff inwards and topstitch into the seam of the outer cuff attachment.
9. Serge the bottom edge of the garment, press towards the wrong side and topstitch.
10. Make buttonholes and sew buttons on the cuffs.
