Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Interface the pieces with fusible interlining.
  2. Stitch the darts on the back pieces, press the dart intakes towards the center. Finish the raw edges of the center back seams separately. Stitch the center back seam from the top to the zipper mark and from the zipper mark to the bottom. Press the seam allowances open. Insert the zipper.
  3. Stitch the darts on the front. Press the dart intakes upwards.
  4. Stitch the fold cutout on the front from the wrong side. Finish the seam allowance. Press the seam flat and press. Fold the front along the seam, right side out, align the marked lines and topstitch to secure. Direct the fold intake towards the side seam and secure the fold at the shoulder seam.
  5. Attach the pocket bag to the front and back. Start and end the stitching strictly at the pocket opening markings. Stitch the side seams in two stages: from the top to the start of the pocket, and from the pocket downwards. Finish the side seams simultaneously with the pocket bag allowance. Press the side seams open. Stitch the pocket bag edges. Finish the pocket bag allowances.
  6. Stitch the shoulder seams. Press the seam allowances towards the back and finish.
  7. Stitch the collar into a loop. Press the seam allowance open. Fold the collar in half lengthwise and press. Attach the outer collar to the neckline, fold under the allowance of the inner collar and topstitch into the attaching seam.
  8. Stitch the sleeve seam. Finish the allowance and press towards the back. Set the sleeves into the armholes. Finish the allowance and press.
  9. Finish the bottom edges of the garment and sleeves. Press the allowances to the wrong side and topstitch.
