Fabric recommendations: blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: bias binding (approximate length is indicated on the front pattern piece); 1 button.
CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEN THE PATTERNS INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THEN THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: allowance for the bottom of the garment and sleeve hem – 2 cm. Allowances for the neckline and front opening – 0 cm. Other allowances - 1.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED.
- From main fabric:
- Center back – 1 piece on fold
- Side back – 2 pieces
- Center front – 2 pieces
- Side front – 2 pieces
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
- Shoulder tab – 2 pieces
Sewing Instructions
WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- Stitch the back princess seams. Press allowances towards the center and overcast.
- Bind the front neckline with bias binding. Lay the right front on the left front, right sides up, and secure along the princess seams. Stitch the front princess seams. Overcast allowances and press towards the center.
- Attach shoulder tabs to the front. Overcast allowances and press onto the shoulder tabs. Attach shoulder tabs to the back. Overcast allowances and press onto the shoulder tabs.
- Stitch the side seams, press allowances towards the back and overcast.
- Cut a bias strip 2.5 cm wide and 10 cm long for a rouleau loop. Fold the strip lengthwise in half, right sides together, and stitch 0.3 cm from the fold. Trim allowances close to the stitching, turn the strip right side out and straighten the rouleau. Adjust the loop length. Sew the loop to the right front neckline.
- Bind the neckline with bias binding.
- Stitch the sleeve seam, press allowances and overcast. Set sleeves into armholes, press allowances and overcast.
- Overcast the bottom edge of the garment and sleeves, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
- Sew the button to the left side of the front.
