Fabric Recommendations

Choose fabrics that offer light structure with a slight stretch:

  • Dress fabrics from natural or blended fibers with elastane

These materials provide comfort, shape retention, and a smooth drape suitable for the flared silhouette.

Additional Supplies

  • Fusible interfacing
  • Invisible zipper

Cutter’s Must

From Main Fabric:

  1. Back – 2 pieces
  2. Upper Front – 1 piece on fold
  3. Lower Front – 1 piece on fold
  4. Sleeve – 2 pieces
  5. Front Neckline Facing – 1 piece
  6. Back Neckline Facing – 2 pieces

From Fusible Interfacing:

  1. Front Neckline Facing – 1 piece
  2. Back Neckline Facing – 2 pieces

Important Information

Before cutting your fabric, print and lay out the paper patterns according to your fabric width (90–150 cm) to determine required yardage.

Remember to account for paired and symmetrical pieces.

When sewing, pay close attention to all notches — they must match precisely to ensure correct construction and fit.

1. Back

Stitch the darts on the Back, press the dart intake toward the center.

Overlock the center back edges separately.

Stitch the center back seam from the zipper marking to the hem.

Press the seam allowances open.

Insert the zipper.

2. Front Darts

Stitch the darts on the Upper Front (if provided in the selected size).
Press the dart intake upward.

3. Front Assembly

Stitch the Upper Front to the Lower Front.

Overlock the seam allowance and press downward.

4. Shoulder and Side Seams

Stitch the shoulder and side seams.

Overlock the seam allowances and press toward the Back.

5. Neckline Facing

Stitch the shoulder seams of the Front Neckline Facing and Back Neckline Facing.

Overlock the seam allowances and press toward the Back.

Overlock the outer edge.

Place the facing onto the garment right sides together and stitch the neckline.

Clip seam allowances, turn the facing to the wrong side and press.

Secure the center seam allowances of the facing to the zipper tape.

6. Sleeves

Stitch the sleeve seam of the Sleeve.

Overlock the seam allowance and press toward the Back.

Set the sleeves into the armholes.

Overlock and press the seam allowances.

7. Hem

Overlock the lower edge of the garment and the sleeve hems.

Press the seam allowances to the wrong side and topstitch.
