Cutter's Must

If the patterns have a double contour, they include seam allowances. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: hem allowance – 1.5 cm, other allowances - 1.0 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need. When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!

  • From main fabric:
    • Back – 1 piece on fold
    • Front – 1 piece on fold
    • Neckline facing – 1 piece
    • Sleeve – 2 pieces
    • Right cuff – 1 piece
    • Left yoke – 1 piece
  • From main fabric 1:
    • Left cuff – 1 piece
    • Right yoke – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is stitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.

  1. Form and stitch the pleats on the left front. Press the depths towards the armhole.
  2. Attach the yokes to the front. Overlock and press the allowances towards the yokes. Attach the yokes to the back. Overlock and press the allowances towards the yokes.
  3. Stitch the side seams, press the allowances towards the back and overlock.
  4. Stitch the neckline facing into a loop, press the allowances open. Fold the facing in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Stitch the facing to the neckline, stretching slightly. Press and overlock the allowances.
  5. Stitch the sleeve seam, press and overlock the allowances. Set the sleeves into the armholes, press and overlock the allowances.
  6. Stitch the cuff into a loop, press the allowances open. Fold the cuff in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Attach the cuff to the bottom of the sleeve. Press and overlock the allowances.
  7. Overlock the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
