When To Wear

  • Over a blouse or a fine knit top with trousers or a skirt at the office.
  • In spring and autumn as a top layer that leaves the arms free.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: Fitted through the princess seams, length just below the waist.

Collar: A separate shawl-shaped collar (upper and under collar) that widens along the overlapping front edge; it is stitched in between the vest and the facing.

Front: Asymmetric wrap: the right front crosses over and fastens with three buttons near the left side, with an inner button holding the under side. Princess seams from the armhole to the hem.

Back: Centre back seam and princess seams from the armholes.

Finishing: Front facings and a back neckline facing, interfaced; the armholes are faced by the lining.

Lining: Full lining, cut from the main pieces minus the facings, stitched to the armholes and hem and turned through an opening in the left side seam.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Princess seams, a collar set between the vest and the facing, a bagged lining with armholes stitched in two steps, buttonholes.
