Fabric recommendations: dress or thin suiting fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. Also needed: fusible interfacing, 3 buttons.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: hem allowance — 2.0 cm, all other seams 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED.

  • Upper back part – 2 pieces
  • Back waistband — 1 piece
  • Lower back part — 1 piece
  • Upper front part — 2 pieces
  • Front waistband — 2 pieces
  • Lower front part — 2 pieces
  • Front facing — 2 pieces
  • Back neckline facing — 1 piece
• From fusible interfacing:
  • Front facing — 2 pieces
  • Back neckline facing — 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

1. Interface the pieces with fusible interfacing.
2. Stitch darts on the upper back pieces, press allowances towards the center. Stitch the center seam on the upper back pieces, press allowances to the left side and serge.
3. Attach the back waistband to the upper back, press allowances towards the waistband, serge. Stitch the upper and lower back, press allowances towards the waistband, serge.
4. Along the lower edge of the upper front piece, stitch with a loosened thread and gather. Attach the front waistband to the upper front, press allowances towards the waistband, serge. Stitch the upper and lower front, press allowances towards the waistband, serge.
5. Stitch shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and serge.
6. Stitch shoulder seams of front facings and back neckline facing, press allowances open. Serge the outer edge. Place front facings with the garment right sides together and stitch the front edges, neckline, and lower edge. Clip allowances at curves, trim at corners. Turn the garment right side out. Secure the back neckline facing to the shoulder and center seams.
7. Cut a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the armhole length + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding with the armhole edge, right side up, extending the ends, and stitch. Fold the binding to the wrong side, clip seams, and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
8. Stitch side seams, press allowances towards the back and serge.
9. Serge the lower edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and hem with blind stitches.
10. On the right front, serge a buttonhole, on the left front, sew a button. On the left front, serge an inner buttonhole, sew a hidden button. Sew a decorative button on the right front.
