Tech. Description

Fabric & Materials

Fabric recommendations: soft blouse fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interlining; 4 buttons. IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE PATTERNS INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES; IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Fuse interlining to the designated pieces.
  2. Lay and secure pleats on the shoulder edges of the front (depths directed towards the neckline).
  3. Stitch the center seam of the collar, folding the front pieces right sides together, press seam allowances open. Overcast the outer edge of the integrated facing.
  4. Stitch shoulder seams, press seam allowances towards the back and overcast. Clip the shoulder seam allowance on the front and stitch the outer side of the collar into the back neckline, press seam allowances towards the collar.
  5. Press the collar along the marked fold line. Topstitch the edge of the inner side of the collar into the attachment seam. Secure the lower edge of the integrated facing to the side edge. Overlap the right front over the left and secure along the lower and side edges.
  6. Stitch side seams, press seam allowances towards the back and overcast.
  7. Overcast the sleeve edges separately. Stitch the sleeve seam from the armhole to the slit mark, press seam allowances open. Topstitch the slit 0.1 cm from the fold. Set sleeves into armholes, press seam allowances and overcast.
  8. Fold cuff pieces right sides together and stitch the side edges. Start and end stitching precisely at the marked cuff attachment seam line. Turn the piece right side out, straighten, press. Create two pleats along the lower edge of the sleeve. Stitch the outer side of the cuff to the sleeve, fold the seam allowance of the inner side of the cuff inwards and topstitch into the attachment seam of the outer cuff.
  9. Press the bottom edge of the garment to the wrong side twice by 1 cm and topstitch.
  10. Overcast buttonholes on the cuffs, sew on buttons.
