Fabric & Materials

Fabric recommendations: blouse or dress fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing; concealed zipper. IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS ARE WITHOUT SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm; hem allowance – 2.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

CUTTER'S MUST

• From main fabric:
  • Back - 2 pieces
  • Front - 1 piece on fold
  • Front yoke - 1 piece
  • Sleeve - 2 pieces
  • Cuff - 2 pieces
  • Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
  • Front neckline facing – 1 piece
  • Belt – 1 piece
• From fusible interfacing:
  • Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
  • Front neckline facing – 1 piece
  • Cuff - 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
2. Overlock the center back edges separately on each piece. Stitch the center back seam from the notch for the zipper to the bottom, press seam allowances open. Insert the concealed zipper.
3. Stitch the darts on the front piece. Press the dart folds upwards.
4. Attach the yoke to the front, press seam allowances upwards, overlock.
5. Stitch the side and shoulder seams, press seam allowances towards the back and overlock.
6. Stitch the shoulder seams of the neckline facings, press seam allowances open. Overlock the outer edge. Place the facing on the garment right sides together and stitch the neckline edge. Clip seam allowances at curves, turn the facing to the wrong side, straighten, press. Secure to the shoulder seams and the zipper tape.
7. Stitch the sleeve seam, press seam allowances towards the back and overlock. Set the sleeves into the armholes, matching notches, overlock seam allowances.
8. Stitch the cuff into a loop, press seam allowances open. Press the cuff in half lengthwise, right side out. Attach the cuff to the wrong side of the sleeve, overlock seam allowances. Turn the cuff to the right side, press.
9. Overlock the hem allowance of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
10. Fold the belt in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch, leaving an opening on the long side for turning. Turn the belt right side out, straighten and press. Topstitch the belt around the perimeter 0.1 cm from the edge.
