Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlocker. Before that, trim seam allowances to 0.7 cm.

  1. Reinforce the upper collar stand with fusible interfacing.
  2. Stitch bust darts. Press seam allowances upwards.
  3. Stitch the center back seam. Overlock seam allowances and press to the left side.
  4. Bind the front neckline with bias binding. Fold yokes in pairs right sides together and stitch along the lower edge, inserting the front. Clip seam allowances, turn yokes upwards and press. Secure yokes along open edges, then treat as one piece.
  5. Stitch shoulder and side seams, press seam allowances towards the back and overlock.
  6. Fold collar stand pieces right sides together and stitch along the upper edge, inserting the buckle fastener. Clip seam allowances at curves, turn right side out and press. Attach the outer collar stand to the neckline, press seam allowance towards the collar stand. Fold the inner collar stand allowance inwards by 1 cm and topstitch into the attaching seam.
  7. Stitch the sleeve seam. Overlock seam allowance. Set the sleeve into the armhole. Overlock seam allowance and press.
  8. Overlock the bottom edge of the garment and sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
