V-Neck Blouse with Tiered Ruffle Sleeves

FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: blouse fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Hem allowance for the bottom of the garment – 2 cm; hem allowance for the bottom of the ruffles – 1.2 cm; other seams – 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).

• From main fabric:
  • Back - 2 pieces
  • Front - 1 piece on fold
  • Front neckline facing – 1 piece
  • Back neckline facing – 1 piece
  • Sleeve – 2 pieces
  • Ruffle 1 – 2 pieces
  • Ruffle 2 – 2 pieces
• From fusible interfacing:
  • Front neckline facing – 1 piece
  • Back neckline facing – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
2. Stitch darts on the front, if provided by the size. Press dart allowances upwards.
3. Stitch the center back seam. Overlock the allowance and press to the left side.
4. Fold the front along the center line, right sides out, and stitch along the fold line (it is marked with an arrow). Spread the box pleat to both sides and press.
5. Stitch side and shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
6. Stitch shoulder seams of the neckline facings. Press allowances open. Overlock the outer edge. Place the main garment and facing right sides together and stitch the neckline. Clip allowances, turn the facing to the wrong side and press. Secure the facing to the shoulder seams and center back seam.
7. Stitch sleeve seams, press towards the back and overlock. Set sleeves into armholes, press allowances and overlock. Stitch ruffles into rings. Overlock allowances and press to the back. Lay Ruffle 2 right side up on Ruffle 1 and secure along the upper edge. Attach ruffles to the sleeve. Overlock allowance and press. Overlock the lower edges of the ruffles, fold inwards and topstitch.
8. Overlock the bottom edge of the garment, fold inwards and topstitch.
