Sewing Instructions

1. Attention: Along the SEAM ALLOWANCES and around the perimeter of pockets, flaps, and shoulder tabs, stitch a double topstitch with contrasting thread at 0.1 cm and 0.7 cm from the edge.
2. Reinforce details with FUSIBLE INTERFACING.
3. Fold flap pieces right sides together and stitch along the outer contour on 3 sides. Clip SEAM ALLOWANCES at corners, turn flap right side out. Straighten seams and press. Stitch a double topstitch along the flap. Process shoulder tabs in a similar manner. Make buttonholes on the flaps.
4. Press the upper SEAM ALLOWANCE of the pockets to the wrong side, fold under and topstitch. Press the side and lower SEAM ALLOWANCES of the pockets to the wrong side.
5. Mark and stitch the dart on the side FRONT PANEL. Press the dart upwards.
6. Stitch the princess seams of the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the center and overcast. Stitch a double topstitch.
7. Mark the placement of pockets and flaps. Topstitch the patch pockets with a double stitch. Attach the lower flap to the FRONT PANEL, turn down and topstitch with a single stitch at 0.7 cm from the edge. Secure the upper flaps to the FRONT PANEL at the NOTCHES.
8. Attach the YOKE pieces to the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL. Overcast the seam and press upwards. Stitch a double topstitch along the seam.
9. Stitch the shoulder seams. Press seams towards the BACK PANEL and overcast. Cut a BIAS BINDING 4 cm wide for armhole finishing. Press the BIAS BINDING in half lengthwise, right side out. Place the binding right sides together with the armhole edge and stitch. Fold the binding to the wrong side and press. Stitch the side seams. Press seams towards the BACK PANEL and overcast. Topstitch the BIAS BINDING along the fold to the wrong side.
10. Fold the placket right sides together and stitch into a loop along the short sides. Press the seam. Turn the placket right side out and fold in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Attach the inner placket piece to the lower edge of the dress. Fold under the raw outer SEAM ALLOWANCE and topstitch it with a double stitch into the attachment seam.
11. Fold the tie pieces in half lengthwise right sides together and stitch at 0.5 cm from the edge. Turn the pieces right side out and press. Stitch the elastic into a loop butt-to-butt with a zigzag stitch. Stitch the waistband into a loop along the short sides, press the seam. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES inwards along the upper and lower edges. On the wrong side of the waistband, reinforce the tie placement area. Attach the ties to the waistband from the right side. Insert the elastic into the waistband, stretching it slightly. Mark the waistband placement on the dress. Attach the waistband, stitching a double stitch along the upper and lower edges.
12. On the outer COLLAR piece, reinforce the tie placement area from the wrong side. Attach the ties from the right side. Stitch the COLLAR into a loop. Press the seam. Fold the COLLAR pieces right sides together and stitch. Turn the COLLAR right side out and press. Stitch a double stitch along the stitching line at 0.1 and 2 cm.
13. Insert the upper COLLAR into the neckline, turn under the raw edge of the lower COLLAR and topstitch into the insertion seam.
14. From the wrong side, attach the shoulder tabs 3 cm from the armhole. Turn the shoulder tabs to the right side, creating an overlap. Sew on the button according to the markings.
15. Sew buttons on the pockets.
