CUTTER'S MUST
- From main fabric:
- 1. BACK PANEL – 1 QTY on fold
- 2. FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY on fold
- 3. SLEEVE – 2 QTY
- 4. Insert – 1 QTY
- 5. COLLAR – 1 QTY
Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics should be stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch the pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.
Sewing Instructions
- Mark and stitch the darts on the FRONT PANEL. Press the dart fullness upwards.
- Stitch the shoulder SEAM ALLOWANCES, serge, and press towards the BACK PANEL.
- Serge the upper edge of the insert, press, and topstitch.
- Stitch the COLLAR into a loop. Serge the seam and press. Attach the COLLAR to the neckline, positioning the COLLAR seam at the left shoulder seam. Attach the insert to the COLLAR attachment seam, aligning the NOTCHES. Serge the seam and press.
- Stitch the side SEAM ALLOWANCES. Serge the seams and press.
- Stitch the SLEEVE seam, serge, and press. Serge the lower edge of the SLEEVE, press to the wrong side, and topstitch. Set the SLEEVES into the armholes. Serge the seam and press.
- Serge the lower edge of the garment and the COLLAR edge. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
