CUTTER'S MUST
- From main fabric:
- 1. BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
- 2. FRONT YOKE – 1 QTY
- 3. Upper FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY
- 4. Lower FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY
Tip: Knit fabric pieces are sewn with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim SEAM ALLOWANCES to 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. Alternatively, pieces can be sewn directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlocker.
Sewing Instructions
- Stitch the center back seam of the BACK PANEL. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES to the left and serge.
- On the upper FRONT PANEL, along the yoke attachment edge, sew a basting stitch with loosely pulled threads and gather. Attach the yoke, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the yoke and serge.
- On the upper FRONT PANEL, from the right armhole edge to the mark, sew a basting stitch with loosely pulled threads and gather to match the length of the edge from the armhole to the mark on the lower FRONT PANEL. On the lower FRONT PANEL, from the mark to the side edge, sew a basting stitch with loosely pulled threads and gather to match the length of the edge from the mark to the side edge on the upper FRONT PANEL. Stitch the upper and lower FRONT PANELs together, press SEAM ALLOWANCES and serge.
- Stitch the shoulder and side seams, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL and serge.
- Serge the bottom edge of the garment, armhole edges, and neckline. Press to the wrong side and topstitch.
