CUTTER'S MUST
- From main fabric:
- 1. Yoke - 2 QTY
- 2. Middle skirt part - 2 QTY on fold
- 3. Lower skirt part – 2 QTY on fold
- 4. Waistband – 1 QTY
Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are sewn with a special elastic stitch or immediately sewn on a 3- or 4-thread overlock. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity.
Sewing Instructions
- Along the upper edges of the middle and lower skirt parts, lay a stitch with loosely tensioned stitches and gather. Attach the middle part to the yoke with an overlock machine. Press the seam. Attach the lower skirt part to the middle part with an overlock machine. Press the seam.
- Stitch the side edges with an overlock machine. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL.
- Stitch the waistband into a ring. Fold lengthwise in half and press. Insert elastic into the waistband and attach to the yoke, positioning the waistband seam at the left side seam.
- Overlock the bottom of the skirt, fold up and topstitch.
