Fabric Recommendations

Choose knit fabrics with suitable drape and stretch for the best results:

  • Double-sided knit fabrics with low to medium stretch
  • Knit fabrics made from natural or blended fibers (e.g., jersey, interlock)

Additional Supplies

No additional notions are required.

CUTTER'S MUST

  • From main fabric:
  • 1. BACK PANEL – 1 QTY on fold
  • 2. FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY on fold
  • 3. SLEEVE – 2 QTY
  • 4. COLLAR – 1 QTY

Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim SEAM ALLOWANCES to 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch the pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch shoulder seams, serge, and press towards the BACK PANEL.
  2. Set in SLEEVES into the open armhole. Serge the seam and press towards the SLEEVE.
  3. Stitch the SLEEVE seam, simultaneously stitching the side seam. Serge the seam and press towards the BACK PANEL.
  4. Stitch the COLLAR into a loop. Serge the seam and press. Set the COLLAR into the neckline, positioning the COLLAR seam at the left shoulder seam. Serge the seam and press.
  5. Serge the bottom edge of the garment, the top edge of the COLLAR, and the bottom edge of the SLEEVE. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
