Pattern #5904
Tech. Description

Gathered Off-Shoulder Blouse with Shirred Waist

Craft a stylish and comfortable blouse featuring a gathered neckline designed for an off-shoulder look, complemented by elasticized short sleeves and a shirred waist for a flattering blouson silhouette.

When To Wear

  • Casual Outings: Perfect for relaxed daily wear, offering comfort without compromising style.
  • Summer & Resort Wear: An excellent choice for warm weather, vacations, or beachside strolls.
  • Smart-Casual Events: Easily dressed up with tailored trousers or skirts for a polished yet relaxed ensemble.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: Relaxed, blouson fit with a gathered body that drapes softly over the torso, cinched at the waist.

Neckline: Wide, elasticized gathered neckline, designed to be worn off-shoulder or as a wide boat neck.

Sleeves: Short, slightly puffed sleeves with an elasticized hem, creating gentle gathers.

Waist & Hem: Shirred waist achieved with multiple rows of elastic stitching, providing definition and a blouson effect, ending at hip length.

Closure: Pullover style with no visible fastenings.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Involves precise gathering techniques and the use of elastic thread for shirring, requiring careful tension management and neat finishing.

  • Silk fabrics

Additional Supplies

  • Elastic thread

Sewing Instructions
