When To Wear

This versatile dress is designed for comfort and elegance, making it an ideal choice for:

  • Summer Events: Perfect for garden parties, casual weddings, or sophisticated daytime gatherings.
  • Resort & Vacation Wear: An ideal choice for holiday wardrobes, beachside dining, or cruise ensembles.
  • Everyday Chic: Easily dressed up or down for a stylish yet comfortable warm-weather look.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: Flared, loose-fitting A-line silhouette with generous volume, flowing freely from the bust.

Neckline: Halter neck design secured with adjustable tie fastenings at the back neck.

Back: Features an open back design above the waist, with an upper back panel that forms the halter attachment point.

Hem: Asymmetrical high-low hem, gracefully cascading from shorter at the front to longer at the back.

Detailing: An integrated flounce in the front seam creates a subtle, layered effect at the hemline.

Waist: Uncinched, flowing freely from the bust for a relaxed and comfortable fit.

Closure: Halter ties at the neck, complemented by an elasticated upper back section for a comfortable, pull-on style.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Involves techniques such as sewing with elastic thread, constructing a casing, and precise hemming for the flounce and asymmetrical hem.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Cut tie and loop details from main fabric. Tie: 4 cm wide, 150 cm long. Loop: 4 cm wide, 4 cm long. Fold lengthwise in half, right side out, and press. Unfold, press side edges towards the center, and fold in half. Stitch 0.1 cm from the edge.
  2. Place upper BACK PANEL pieces right sides together and stitch the long sides of the rhombus and the upper section, inserting the loop. Turn right side out and press.
  3. Finish the bias and lower edges of the FLOUNCE with a narrow rolled hem. Stitch the center front seam, inserting the FLOUNCES. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES to the left and serge.
  4. Stitch the center back seam, press SEAM ALLOWANCES to the left and serge. Attach the upper BACK PANEL to the upper edge of the BACK SKIRT HALF.
  5. Stitch the side seams, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the back and serge.
  6. Process LINING pieces similarly to main fabric pieces. Place LINING and main garment right sides together and stitch the upper edge. Then, starting 1 cm from the upper seam, stitch the upper edge all around, stopping 1 cm before the upper seam on the other side. Turn the dress right side out and press. Stitch a decorative seam 1 cm from the upper front edge, creating a casing.
  7. Serge the lower edges of the dress and LINING (separately) with a narrow rolled hem.
  8. Along the upper edge of the BACK SKIRT HALF, from the side seam to the upper part, stitch using elastic thread. Insert the tie into the casing and loop.
