Sewing Instructions

1. Stitch the princess seams on the upper FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the center and topstitch 0.5 cm from the seam.
2. Stitch the shoulder seams, press SEAM ALLOWANCES open.
3. FACE the short sides of the SLEEVES, turn right side out, press. Set the SLEEVES into the open armholes according to NOTCHES.
4. Stitch the side seams of the upper parts, press SEAM ALLOWANCES open.
5. Stitch the side seams of the inserts, press SEAM ALLOWANCES open. Attach the insert to the upper part of the dress, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the insert and topstitch 0.5 cm from the seam.
6. Stitch the side seams of the lower parts, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL and serge.
7. Serge the bottom edge of the TRIM STRIP piece, fold to the wrong side and topstitch.
8. On the side and central lower BACK PANEL pieces, apply FUSIBLE INTERFACING to the vent from the wrong side. Serge the princess seams of the BACK PANEL separately on each piece, serging the vent simultaneously. Mark the vent fold line on the right side. Press the central part along the vent fold line, on the side part press to the wrong side and topstitch only the vent SEAM ALLOWANCE (1 cm). Stitch the princess seam of the BACK PANEL from the upper edge to the edge of the vent, inserting the TRIM STRIP. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the center and lay a topstitch 0.5 cm from the seam, secure the vent SEAM ALLOWANCES at the upper edge with machine stitching.
9. Stitch the princess seams of the FRONT PANEL, inserting the TRIM STRIP. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the center, serge and lay a topstitch 0.5 cm from the seam.
10. Attach the lower part of the dress to the insert, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the insert and lay a topstitch 0.5 cm from the seam.
11. Serge the center back seam. Insert the ZIPPER from the upper edge to the NOTCH. Fold back the lower part of the ZIPPER and stitch the center back seam from the NOTCH downwards. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES open.
12. Stitch the LINING pieces similarly to the main fabric pieces. At the vent section, trim the SEAM ALLOWANCE to the width of the stitching seam and finish the slit. Place the LINING and main fabric right sides together and FACE the neckline edge and armhole edges. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES, clip curves. Turn the dress right side out, baste, press. Fold under the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the center back seam of the LINING fabric and secure to the ZIPPER tape. Fold under the bottom edge of the LINING twice to the wrong side and topstitch.
13. Press the bottom edge of the garment to the wrong side to the hem allowance width, fold inwards 1 cm and topstitch.
