Sewing Instructions
- Fuse the placket, upper collar, upper stand, and 2 flap pieces with fusible interfacing.
- Stitch darts on the front. Press darts upwards.
- Form a box pleat on the pockets. Press the upper seam allowances of the pockets to the wrong side, fold, and topstitch. Press the side and bottom seam allowances of the pockets to the wrong side. Place pockets on the front according to markings. Topstitch patch pockets.
- Place flap pieces right sides together and stitch around. Trim the corner seam allowances of the flaps and turn right side out. Straighten and press the seams, topstitch along the edge at 0.1 and 0.6 cm from the edge. Overlock the raw edge of the flaps, overlock buttonholes. Attach flaps to the front, turn down, and topstitch. Sew buttons on the pockets according to the buttonholes.
- Overlock the outer edges of the placket. Place the placket right side down on the right side of the front and stitch the neckline. Trim seam allowances, turn the placket to the wrong side, baste, and press. Topstitch the placket to the front according to markings.
- Place collar pieces right sides together and stitch along the ends and outer edge. Trim, turn the collar corners. Stitch the stand pieces together, inserting the collar between them, starting and ending the stitching exactly at the stand attachment line. Turn right side out, press the finished collar.
- Stitch the shoulder seams of the blouse. Press seams towards the back and overlock.
- Attach the lower stand with the collar to the neckline, fold under the raw edge of the upper stand and topstitch into the seam of the lower stand attachment. Topstitch along the collar.
- Place the tab right side together and stitch the long and short sides. Trim seam allowances at the corners, turn right side out, and press. Overlock the buttonhole. Attach the tab to the wrong side of the sleeve according to markings. Sew a button on the right side in this place.
- Set the sleeves into the open armholes. Overlock seam allowances. Stitch the sleeve edges in one seam with the side edge. Press seam allowances towards the back and overlock.
- Press the hem of the garment and sleeves to the wrong side, fold, and topstitch.
- Overlock buttonholes on the front according to markings. Cut a drawstring 3.5 cm wide and the length indicated on the front pattern piece. Press the edges of the drawstring 1 cm to the wrong side, place wrong side down on the wrong side of the front and topstitch according to markings.
- Make a tie from the main fabric and insert it into the drawstring casing.
