CUTTER'S MUST

  • From faux suede:
    • BACK PANEL center – 2 QTY
    • BACK PANEL side – 2 QTY
    • FRONT PANEL side – 2 QTY
    • FRONT PANEL center – 2 QTY
    • SLEEVE upper part – 2 QTY
    • SLEEVE lower part – 2 QTY
  • From faux leather:
    • COLLAR stand – 2 QTY
    • BACK YOKE – 1 QTY
    • CUFF – 2 QTY
    • Waistband – 1 QTY
    • BACK NECK FACING – 1 QTY
  • From LINING fabric:
    • BACK YOKE – 1 QTY
    • BACK PANEL center – 2 QTY
    • BACK PANEL side – 2 QTY
    • FRONT PANEL center – 2 QTY
    • FRONT PANEL side – 2 QTY
    • SLEEVE upper part – 2 QTY
    • SLEEVE lower part – 2 QTY

ATTENTION: FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL LINING pieces are cut without considering the width of the front FACINGs and the BACK NECK FACING, respectively.

FROM FUSIBLE INTERFACING: front FACING, COLLAR stand, BACK NECK FACING.

ATTENTION: before fusing faux suede and leather pieces, test on a scrap piece.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse the front FACING, COLLAR stand, and BACK NECK FACING with FUSIBLE INTERFACING.
  2. Place COLLAR stand pieces right sides together and stitch along the outer contour. Trim and turn out the COLLAR stand corners. Press the COLLAR stand.
  3. Stitch the center back seam. Topstitch the seam at 0.2 cm. Stitch the back princess seams. Topstitch the seams. Attach the back yoke to the BACK PANEL. Press the seam towards the yoke and topstitch. Stitch the front princess seams. Topstitch the seams.
  4. Stitch the side seams. Press the longitudinal edges of the waistband to the wrong side and topstitch to the BACK PANEL, FRONT PANEL, and front FACING according to markings.
  5. Stitch the shoulder seams.
  6. Baste the COLLAR stand into the neckline of the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL.
  7. Stitch the elbow seam of the SLEEVE. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the upper part and topstitch. Stitch the front seam of the SLEEVE. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES open and glue. Press the CUFF in half lengthwise, right side out. Unfold the CUFF and stitch into a loop. Attach the outer side of the CUFF to the lower edge of the SLEEVE. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the CUFF and topstitch. Set the SLEEVES into the armholes according to NOTCHES. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the garment and topstitch.
  8. Stitch the shoulder seams of the front FACINGs and the BACK NECK FACING. Fold the front FACINGs to the right side of the FRONT PANEL and stitch along the neckline, simultaneously inserting the COLLAR stand. Attach the lower edges of the front FACINGs to the FRONT PANEL strictly along the marked hemline. Turn the fronts to the right side, straighten the seams, and press.
  9. On the LINING fabric pieces, stitch the seams and set in the SLEEVES, leaving an opening in the right front SLEEVE seam. Press the LINING SEAM ALLOWANCES. Attach the LINING to the inner edges of the front FACINGs and the BACK NECK FACING.
  10. Mark and press the bottom of the jacket. Finish the bottom of the SLEEVE and the garment with LINING. Turn the jacket right side out through the opening in the SLEEVE. Stitch the opening in the SLEEVE.
  11. Topstitch along the bottom of the garment, the edge of the front, and around the perimeter of the COLLAR stand. On the right FRONT PANEL and COLLAR stand, make buttonholes; on the left FRONT PANEL and COLLAR stand, sew on buttons. Also, sew decorative buttons on the right FRONT PANEL.
