Sewing Instructions
- Stitch the shoulder seams of the blouse. Press the shoulder seams open and overcast.
- Apply FUSIBLE INTERFACING to the slit area on the FRONT PANEL and FRONT FACING. Stitch the shoulder seams of the FRONT FACING and BACK FACING. Press the shoulder seams open. Place the FACING on the blouse, right sides together, and stitch the neckline and along the slit, leaving an unstitched section at the marked level. The seam at the top of the slit is 0.5 cm, at the bottom – 0.2 cm. Cut the slit open. Turn the FACING to the wrong side and press, folding the SEAM ALLOWANCES inward on the unstitched section.
- Stitch the side seams of the blouse. Press the side seams towards the BACK PANEL and overcast.
- Cut 8 ties of desired length and 4 cm width. Press the ties in half lengthwise, right side out. Then unfold and press the raw edges towards the marked center line. Fold the ties along the center line, aligning the folds, and topstitch at 0.1 cm.
- Along the marked lines of the neckline, sew a basting stitch with loosely tensioned stitches. Pull the stitches to the desired length and secure. Insert the ties into the unstitched sections of the front slit and secure them with machine stitching.
- Cut a BIAS BINDING 4 cm wide and equal to the armhole length. Press the BIAS BINDING in half lengthwise, right side out. Place the BIAS BINDING right sides together with the armhole and stitch. Turn the BIAS BINDING to the wrong side. Topstitch the SEAM ALLOWANCE to the BIAS BINDING with a 0.1 cm wide seam. Topstitch the fold of the BIAS BINDING to the armhole.
- Overcast the hem SEAM ALLOWANCES, turn to the wrong side, and topstitch.
