- From main fabric:
- 1. Back – 1 piece
- 2. Front – 1 piece
- 3. Sleeve – 2 pieces
Fabric & Materials
Tip: Pattern pieces made from knit fabrics should be sewn with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim seam allowances to 0.6 – 0.8 cm. Hem allowances should be topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity.
Sewing Instructions
- Stitch shoulder and side seams of the back and front. Serge seams and press towards the back.
- Stitch sleeve seams. Serge seams and press.
- Set sleeves into armholes, matching notches. Serge seams and press.
- Serge the bottom edge of the garment, the bottom edge of the sleeve, and the draped neckline edge (between the notches on the front neckline). Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
- Bind the neckline edge of the back and front. Start and end the binding at the front neckline, leaving 5cm ends. Thread the ends of the binding tape through a loop and secure them on the wrong side of the front.
