  • Everyday Comfort: A perfect staple for daily wear, offering ease and a touch of casual elegance.
  • Transitional Styling: Versatile for layering under jackets or cardigans across seasons.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: A fitted to semi-fitted top, designed to flatter the figure while ensuring comfortable wear.

Neckline: A graceful V-neckline, subtly gathered and adjustable via a central drawstring that runs through a dedicated placket.

Sleeves: Classic long sleeves with a set-in construction, providing full arm coverage for versatile styling.

Back: A smooth, unadorned back panel maintains the top's clean lines and comfortable fit.

Hem: A straight hemline that falls to the hip, suitable for wearing tucked or untucked.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Requires working with stretch knit fabrics, precise placket construction at the neckline, and accurate insertion of the drawstring.

Fabric Recommendations

Choose knit fabrics with good stretch and drape for optimal comfort and fit:

  • Medium to high stretch knit fabrics
  • Natural or blended fiber knits

Additional Supplies

  • Decorative ribbon for the drawstring

Cutting Plan

  • Back – 1 piece
  • Front – 1 piece
  • Sleeve – 2 pieces
  • Placket – 1 piece

Fabric & Materials

Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics should be sewn with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When overlocking, trim seam allowances to 0.6 – 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Attach the sleeve to the front. Overlock the seam and press.
  2. Attach the sleeve to the back. Overlock the seam and press.
  3. Sew the sleeve seam and side seam in one continuous seam. Overlock the seams and press.
  4. Overlock the bottom edge of the garment, the bottom edge of the sleeve, and the neckline edge. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
  5. Overlock the placket perimeter. Fold and topstitch the upper edge of the placket. Mark the placket placement on the wrong side of the front. Attach the placket to the front. Stitch along the center line of the placket, stopping 1.5 cm before the bottom placket seam. Insert a drawstring into the created opening and tighten.
