Fabric Recommendations

Choose a fabric with good stretch and drape for optimal comfort and fit:

  • Knitted fabrics with medium or high stretch, made from natural or blended fibers

Additional Supplies

  • 1 decorative ring for the strap

Fabric & Materials

Tip: When sewing knit fabrics, use a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim seam allowances to 0.6 – 0.8 cm. Topstitch the hem allowance with a twin needle to maintain elasticity.

Cutting Plan

From main fabric:

  • Back – 1 piece
  • Front – 1 piece
  • Strap – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch the side seams of the back and front. Serge the seams and press towards the back.
  2. Serge the bottom edge of the garment, the armhole edge, and the top edge of the back. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
  3. Cut the facing for the top edge of the front, depending on the width of the ring. Facing calculation: ring thickness + 0.5 cm for ease + 2 cm for seams = facing width.
  4. Serge the outer and side edges of the facing. Fold the side edges of the facing to the wrong side by 0.7 cm. Place the facing and front right sides together and stitch along the inner edge. Fold the facing to the wrong side, insert the ring between the front and the facing, and topstitch.
  5. Fold the strap in half lengthwise, right sides together. Stitch along the long side. Turn the strap right side out and press. Fold the raw edges together and serge. Thread one end of the strap through the ring and secure it on the wrong side. Cross the straps at the back, adjust the length, and sew to the top edge of the back.
