Introducing a chic women's top pattern featuring a distinctive one-shoulder design with a stylish cross-front band construction, creating an elegant and modern silhouette.

When To Wear

This top is ideal for various occasions, offering both comfort and contemporary style:

  • Casual Chic Outings: Its modern design and comfortable knit fabric make it perfect for relaxed daytime wear.
  • Evening Social Gatherings: The unique one-shoulder and cross-front detail elevate it for dressier events and evenings out.
  • Warm Weather Style: Lightweight and breathable, it's an excellent choice for spring and summer seasons.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: A close-fitting top designed to gently hug the body for a sleek profile.

Neckline & Shoulder: A modern one-shoulder design defined by a wide, asymmetrical band that crosses the front for a distinctive detail.

Sleeves: Sleeveless on one side, with the other shoulder formed by the continuous cross-front band.

Back: Clean and streamlined, mirroring the one-shoulder silhouette from the front.

Hem: A straight hemline, designed to sit at the hip.

Closure: Pull-on style, relying on the stretch of the fabric.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Involves working with stretch fabrics, assembling and attaching a shaped band, and precise hemming techniques.

Fabric Recommendations

This pattern is designed for knit fabrics with good stretch and recovery, providing comfort and a smooth fit:

  • Medium to high stretch knit fabrics
  • Knit fabrics made from natural or blended fibers

Additional Supplies

No additional notions are required.

Cutting Plan

From main fabric:

  • Back – 1 piece
  • Front – 1 piece
  • Placket – 1 piece

Tip: Pattern pieces from knit fabrics are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim seam allowances to 0.6 – 0.8 cm. Hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch side seams of back and front. Serge seams and press towards the back.
  2. Serge the bottom edge of the garment and the armhole edge. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
  3. Stitch the placket into a loop. Fold the placket in half lengthwise, right side out, and press.
  4. Attach the placket with its outer side to the back and front, aligning notches. Fold the seam allowances of the inner side of the placket inwards and topstitch in the ditch.
