Tip: When sewing knit fabrics, use a special elastic stitch or a narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim seam allowances to 0.6 – 0.8 cm. Topstitch the hem allowance with a twin needle to maintain elasticity.
Cutting Plan
- From main fabric:
- 1. Back – 1 piece
- 2. Front – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
- Stitch the shoulder seams of the back and front. Serge the seams and press towards the back.
- Serge the bottom edge of the garment and the neckline edge. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
- Serge the side edges. Stitch the side seam and press open. Topstitch the allowance, seam width 1 cm. Thread the drawstring through the created opening. Secure the drawstring at the armhole edge.
- Serge the armhole edge. Fold to the wrong side and topstitch.
