Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics should be stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim seam allowances to 0.6 – 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity.
Cutting Plan
- 1. Back – 1 piece
- 2. Front – 1 piece
- 3. Front yoke – 2 pieces
- 4. Sleeve – 2 pieces
ATTENTION! When finishing the front neckline allowances, remember to mark the 'corners'.
Sewing Instructions
- Finish the neckline edges.
- Attach the yoke to the front. Finish the seams and press them.
- Stitch the side and shoulder seams of the back and front. Finish the seams and press them towards the back.
- Stitch the sleeve seams. Finish the seams and press them.
- Set the sleeves into the armholes, matching notches. Finish the seams and press them.
- Finish the bottom edge of the garment and the bottom edge of the sleeves. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
- Fold the neckline allowances to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
