Cutting Plan
- From main fabric:
- 1. Center back piece – 2 pieces
- 2. Side back piece – 2 pieces
- 3. Center front piece – 4 pieces
- 4. Side front piece – 2 pieces
Sewing Instructions
- Reinforce the buttonhole and button placement on the front piece.
- Face the lower edge of the center front pieces. Turn the pieces right side out and press. Then treat the piece as a single layer.
- Stitch the princess seams on the front and back. Overlock and press towards the center.
- Stitch the side seams. Overlock the seams and press towards the back.
- Stitch the center back seam. Overlock the seam and press.
- Press the bias tape in half lengthwise and face the upper edge of the back and the armhole edges.
- Face the edge of the front opening with bias tape. Face the edge from the bottom hem upwards, forming a tie 40cm long from the bias tape. Secure the bias tape at the bottom.
- Overlock the bottom edge of the top, fold up and topstitch 1.5 cm from the bottom edge.
- On the right front piece, make buttonholes; on the left, sew on buttons.
