Pattern #5635
Tech. Description

Tie Neck Halter Top with Gathered Ruffled Hem

Introducing a chic women's sewing pattern for a halter top featuring a stylish tie-neck, a shaped bodice with bust darts, and a charming gathered ruffled hem.

When To Wear

This versatile halter top is perfect for adding a touch of elegance to various warm-weather occasions, making it an ideal choice for:

  • Casual Gatherings & Daywear: Pair with shorts or skirts for a stylish and comfortable everyday look.
  • Summer Evenings & Events: Dress up with tailored trousers or a maxi skirt for a sophisticated yet relaxed ensemble.
  • Vacation & Resort Wear: An airy and fashionable option for travel, cruises, or beachside outings.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: A relaxed fit through the body, flaring slightly to a gathered hem for an easy, flowing drape.

Neckline: Features a high halter neckline with an elegant tie closure at the back of the neck, forming a sophisticated open back.

Bodice: Shaped with bust darts for a flattering fit across the front.

Sleeves: Sleeveless design, enhanced by bias-bound armholes for a clean finish and comfortable wear.

Hem: Finished with a distinctive gathered ruffle, created by elastic stitched along the bottom edge, adding playful volume and movement.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Requires skills in dart construction, working with bias binding for armholes, precise collar/tie assembly, and applying elastic for a gathered hem.
