Sewing Instructions
- Stitch the princess seams on the back and front. Serge and press the seam allowances towards the center.
- Stitch the side seams, leaving an opening for the zipper in the left seam. Serge and press the right seam allowances, serge and press open the left seam allowances, pressing the zipper opening flat.
- Serge the upper edge of the center front piece.
- Stitch together the upper back and upper front pieces along the right side seam. Press the seam open. Attach the upper back and upper front pieces to the upper edge of the top, leaving an unstitched section on the front for the bow. Serge the seam and press the seam allowances towards the facing.
- Cut the strap. Fold the strap lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch 0.5 cm from the fold. Turn the strap right side out and press. Attach the strap to the front.
- Put on the top, adjust the strap length, and attach the back end to the back.
- Insert the zipper into the left side seam.
- Place the upper top pieces right sides together. Before reaching 5 mm from the edges of the concealed fastening, fold back the inner facing and pin it to the upper edge. On the right side of the top, fold back the seam allowances along the zipper and pin them to the upper edge over the facing. Stitch the upper edges. Fold the seam allowances along the fastening to the wrong side. Fold the inner facing up and topstitch it to the seam allowance 1-2 mm from the seam. Fold the facing to the wrong side and attach it to the zipper tape. Serge the lower edge of the facing and topstitch it into the seam. At the bow opening, clip the seam near the mark, turn inwards, and stitch together the upper front pieces. Fold the section on the center front piece and topstitch it to the front.
- Serge the lower edge of the top, fold up and topstitch 1 cm from the lower edge.
- Stitch the bow on three sides: 1 short and 2 long sides. Turn the bow right side out and press. Turn the unstitched edges inwards and press. Stitch the seam. Thread the bow through the opening on the front and tie it.
