Cutting Plan

• Right Front – 1 piece
• Left Front – 1 piece
• Back – 2 pieces
• Side Back – 2 pieces
• Left Tie – 2 pieces
• Right Tie – 2 pieces
• Back Facing – 1 piece
• Front Facing – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

1. Fuse the facings.
2. Mark and stitch the dart on the left and right fronts. Trim the bulk and overcast.
3. Stitch the princess seams on the back. Overcast the princess seams and press towards the center.
4. Stitch the shoulder seams. Overcast the seam and press towards the back.
5. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise and press. Bind the armhole edges with bias binding.
6. Stitch the facing pieces at the shoulder seam. Overcast the seam and press towards the front. Overcast the outer edge of the facings.
7. Attach the facing to the neckline edges of the front and back. Turn the seam and press.
8. Overcast the side edges of the top. Stitch and press open the side seams of the top, leaving an opening in the right seam. Topstitch along the opening in the side seam.
9. Stitch the ties. Turn the pieces right side out and press.
10. Overcast the bottom edge of the top. Press the seam allowance to the wrong side.
11. Place the tie on the right side of the front. Fold the neckline facing and the hem allowance onto the tie. Attach the tie to the front with one seam (to the right and left front respectively). Overcast the seam, turn and press.
12. Topstitch the hem. Press the seam.
