Sewing Instructions

  1. On the center FRONT PANEL pieces, along the princess seam, stitch with loosely tensioned stitches 0.5 cm from the edge. Gather from the top edge to the NOTCH.
  2. Stitch the center back seam, princess seams on the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL on the main fabric pieces. Overcast the seams. On the BACK PANEL, press seams towards the center; on the FRONT PANEL, press towards the side seam.
  3. Stitch the side seams, leaving an opening for the ZIPPER in the left side seam. Overcast the seams. Press the right seam towards the BACK PANEL, press the left seam open, pressing the opening. Insert the ZIPPER.
  4. Divide the corset tape into 6 equal parts. Stitch the tape segments from the upper edge of the dress to the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the princess seams, center back seam, and right side seam. Press the seams.
  5. Stitch the LINING pieces similarly to the main fabric pieces. Overcast the bottom of the LINING.
  6. On the upper skirt pieces, mark the placement of the puffs in the form of circles with a diameter of 3-4 cm.
  7. Stitch the side seam on all skirts. Finish the front edge of the skirt with a hemmed seam. Place the skirts inside each other. Secure the skirts together at the upper edge, aligning the seams.
  8. Place the BODICE and skirts right sides together and stitch. Press the seam upwards.
  9. Cut the strap. Fold the strap lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch 0.5 cm from the fold. Turn the strap right side out and press. Attach the strap to the neckline of the FRONT PANEL.
  10. Put on the dress, adjust the length of the strap, and attach the back end to the BACK PANEL.
  11. Place the dress and LINING face to face. Before reaching 5 mm from the edges of the concealed fastener, fold back the LINING and pin it to the upper edge of the dress. On the right side of the dress, fold back the SEAM ALLOWANCES along the ZIPPER and pin them to the upper edge over the LINING. Stitch the upper edges. Fold the SEAM ALLOWANCES along the fastener to the wrong side. Fold the LINING upwards and topstitch onto the seam allowance 1-2 mm from the seam. Fold the LINING to the wrong side and attach it to the ZIPPER tape. Finish the bottom of the LINING and attach it to the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the BODICE and skirt joining seam.
  12. Finish the bottom edges of the skirts with a hemmed seam.
  13. On the upper skirt, create the puffs: stitch along the marked line and gather.
