Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse FUSIBLE INTERFACING to 2 pieces of BACK PANEL FACING, FRONT PANEL FACING, and straps.
  2. Stitch darts on the BACK PANEL and press towards the center. Stitch the shoulder seam of the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL. Stitch the side seam of the upper BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL. Overcast seams and press towards the BACK PANEL. Overcast, fold, and topstitch the armhole edge at 0.5 cm. Overcast, fold, and topstitch the center edge of the upper BACK PANEL at 0.5 cm.
  3. Stitch the strap from the inside, simultaneously creating the allowance for the fastener. Clip the seam, turn the strap right side out, and press.
  4. Attach the strap with the outer side to the upper BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL, aligning the NOTCHES. Press the seam towards the strap. From the wrong side, fold the strap seam and topstitch into the attaching seam. Press the seams.
  5. Stitch the BACK PANEL FACING and FRONT PANEL FACING together at the side seam. Press the seam open. Place the FACINGs right sides together, insert the upper BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL between them so that the fused side of the strap is on the fused side of the FACING. Stitch the pieces on two sides: along the short edge of the FRONT PANEL FACING and then along the upper edge of the FACINGs. Turn the seam right side out and press.
  6. Stitch the princess seams on the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL. Overcast and press towards the center.
  7. Overcast the center edge on the FRONT PANEL. Stitch the center seam of the FRONT PANEL between the NOTCHES. Press the seam open, pressing the slits.
  8. Stitch the side edges. Overcast seams and press towards the BACK PANEL.
  9. Attach the FACING with the outer side to the upper edge of the dress. Press the seam towards the FACING. Stitch the center seam of the BACK PANEL up to the NOTCH for the ZIPPER. Press the seam open, pressing the slits. Insert the ZIPPER into the center seam of the BACK PANEL. The ZIPPER reaches the upper edge of the FACING.
  10. Fold the open edge of the FACING and stitch to the dress SEAM ALLOWANCES in the ZIPPER area. Press the seam.
  11. Overcast the lower edge of the dress, fold, and topstitch at a distance of 1.5 cm from the lower edge.
  12. On the strap, overcast a buttonhole and sew on a button.
