Sewing Instructions
- Fuse the waistband and fly facing with fusible interfacing.
- Mark and stitch the pleats on the back panel.
- Attach the front panel center to the front panel insert. Overlock the seam and press it towards the center panel. Topstitch 0.5 cm from the seam.
- Attach the yoke to the back panel insert. Overlock the seam and press it towards the back panel insert. Topstitch 0.5 cm from the seam.
- Attach the insert to the back panel. Overlock the attaching seam and press it towards the back panel. Topstitch 0.5 cm from the seam.
- Stitch the center seam of the back skirt half. Overlock the skirt's center seam and press it to the right side. Topstitch 0.5 cm from the seam.
- Cut a TRIM STRIP from the main fabric for binding the pockets and flaps, at a 45-degree angle. Fold the TRIM STRIP in half lengthwise and press. Attach the TRIM STRIP to the outer edge of the pocket and flap, with the fold of the TRIM STRIP lying on the garment at a width of 0.75 cm. Trim the SEAM ALLOWANCES to a width of 0.5 cm. Turn the TRIM STRIPS to the wrong side, press, and topstitch onto the pocket and flap. The width of the TRIM STRIP is approximately 6 cm. Overlock the upper edge of the patch pocket and flap. Turn the upper edge of the pocket to the wrong side and topstitch.
- Mark the placement of the pocket and flap on the front skirt half. Place the pocket according to the markings and topstitch. Place the flap according to the markings and attach. Turn the flap down and topstitch 0.5 cm from the fold.
- Overlock the center edge of the front panel together with the fly. Stitch the center seam of the front panel up to the ZIPPER insertion point. Press open the center seam of the front panel. Topstitch 0.5 cm from the seam.
- Press the one-piece FACINGS of the ZIPPER closure to the wrong side. Attach the ZIPPER under the edge of the SEAM ALLOWANCE for the closure (left side) to the edge. Attach the free tape of the ZIPPER to the right half to the one-piece FACING. Fold the fly facing in half lengthwise and stitch the short lower edge. Topstitch the one-piece ZIPPER closure FACING onto the fly facing on the left side. Topstitch the right edge of the opening, catching the FACING.
- Fold the belt loop in half lengthwise, right sides together, align the edges, and stitch 0.5-0.7 cm from the edges. Then turn it right side out, straighten the seam, positioning it on the fold or creating a 0.1-0.2 cm wide edge on the inside, and press.
- Press the waistband in half lengthwise, wrong sides together, and overlock the lower inner edge of the waistband. Cut the belt loops to size and topstitch them onto the waistband according to the markings.
- Attach the waistband to the upper edge of the skirt. Stitch the ends of the waistband, trim the SEAM ALLOWANCES at the corners, and turn right side out. Topstitch the lower overlocked edge of the waistband into the attaching seam and press the waistband into its finished shape.
- Overlock the lower edge of the skirt, fold up, and topstitch.
- Overlock a buttonhole on the right side of the waistband, sew a button on the left side. Mark and overlock buttonholes on the flap, sew buttons on the patch pocket according to the markings.
