  • 4. Right FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY
  • 5. Left FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY
  • 6. SLEEVE – 2 QTY
  • 7. CUFF – 2 QTY
  • 8. Right FACING – 1 QTY
  • 9. Left FACING – 1 QTY
  • 10. Insert – 2 QTY
  • FROM FUSIBLE INTERFACING: right FACING, left FACING, upper COLLAR, CUFFS, collar stand.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse FUSIBLE INTERFACING to the FACING pieces, upper COLLAR, CUFFS, and collar stand.
  2. Mark and stitch the bust darts on the FRONT PANEL and the vertical waist darts on the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL.
  3. Serge, stitch, and press the center back seam towards the BACK PANEL.
  4. Serge the inner edge of the left and right FACINGS.
  5. Press the one-piece FACINGS of the concealed placket on the right FRONT PANEL and FACING to the wrong side. Mark and serge buttonholes on the right FACING. Place the FACING on the right side of the FRONT PANEL, right side down, and stitch along the edge and neckline of the left FRONT PANEL, and only along the neckline of the right FRONT PANEL. Stitching is done from the FRONT PANEL side upwards. Topstitch the SEAM ALLOWANCE of the left edge FACING onto the FACING. The stitching should be 0.2 cm from the seam. Turn the edges to the right side, straighten the seams. Stitch and serge the one-piece FACINGS of the concealed placket. Topstitch along the edge, securing the placket.
  6. Serge, stitch, and press the shoulder seams towards the BACK PANEL.
  7. Serge, stitch, and press the side seams towards the BACK PANEL.
  8. Stitch the lower COLLAR to the upper COLLAR, trim the SEAM ALLOWANCES at the corners, and turn the COLLAR right side out. Press the COLLAR.
  9. Stitch the collar stands, inserting the COLLAR between them.
  10. Attach the lower collar stand with the COLLAR to the neckline, turn under the raw edge of the upper collar stand, and topstitch into the seam of the lower collar stand attachment. Turn under the raw edges of the collar stand and stitch them together. Topstitch along the COLLAR.
  11. Attach the insert to the lower edge of the SLEEVE. Serge the seam and press it towards the SLEEVE. Mark the slit on the insert, cut it, serge, fold to the wrong side, and topstitch 0.5 cm from the edge, securing the top of the slit. Tip: You can use pleated fabric for the insert.
  12. Stitch and serge the SLEEVE seams.
  13. Stitch the side edges of the CUFF, trim the SEAM ALLOWANCES at the corners, and turn the CUFF right side out. Press the CUFF.
  14. Attach the upper CUFF to the bottom of the SLEEVE, and turn under the SEAM ALLOWANCE of the lower CUFF and topstitch it into the seam of the upper CUFF attachment.
  15. Set in the SLEEVES, easing the cap. Serge the seam.
  16. Serge the SEAM ALLOWANCES for the hem of the garment, turn to the wrong side, and topstitch along the edge.
  17. Mark and sew buttons on the left FRONT PANEL. Mark and serge a buttonhole on the collar stand and CUFF. Mark and sew a button on the collar stand and CUFF.
