CUTTER'S MUST
- From main fabric:
- 1. Center FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY
- 2. Side FRONT PANEL – 2 QTY
- 3. Front YOKE – 1 QTY
- 4. Front FACING – 1 QTY
- 5. Center BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
- 6. Side BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
- 7. Back YOKE – 2 QTY
- 8. Back FACING – 2 QTY
- From guipure lace:
- 1. Side FRONT PANEL – 2 QTY
- 2. Side BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
- FROM FUSIBLE INTERFACING: front FACING, back FACING.
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interfacing to the front FACING and back FACING.
- Place guipure lace on the side FRONT PANEL and baste. Stitch the princess seams on the FRONT PANEL, overcast the seams, and press towards the center of the FRONT PANEL.
- Place guipure lace on the side BACK PANEL and baste. Stitch the princess seams on the BACK PANEL, overcast the seams, and press towards the center of the BACK PANEL.
- Attach the front yoke to the FRONT PANEL. Press the seam allowance towards the yoke.
- Attach the back yoke to the BACK PANEL. Press the seam allowance towards the yoke.
- Overcast the center back seam of the skirt. Stitch the center back seam of the skirt up to the NOTCH for the ZIPPER. Press open the center back seam of the skirt, press the ZIPPER opening. Insert the ZIPPER.
- Overcast the side seams of the skirt. Stitch and press open the side seams of the front and back panels.
- Stitch and press open the side seams of the FACINGS. Overcast the outer edge of the FACINGS.
- Place the FACINGS on the upper edge of the skirt, right sides together, and stitch. Topstitch the FACING seam allowance onto the interfaced yokes, 0.2 cm from the stitching line. Fold the yokes to the wrong side and press the upper finished edge of the skirt. Fold under the center edges of the back FACINGS and hand stitch to the ZIPPER. Topstitch the overcast edge of the FACINGS into the yoke attachment seam. Remove temporary basting stitches.
- Overcast the bottom edge of the skirt, fold under, and topstitch.
