  • From main fabric:

  • 2. Lower back part – 2 pieces
  • 3. Lower front part – 2 pieces
  • 4. Upper front part – 2 pieces
  • 5. Front insert – 2 pieces
  • 6. Skirt insert – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fold the front insert in half lengthwise and press. Stitch the insert to the upper front part, overlock, and press towards the upper front part.
  2. Stitch the skirt insert to the lower front part. Overlock the seam and press towards the lower front part.
  3. Stitch a gathering stitch with loosely tensioned stitches along the upper edge of the skirt insert at 0.5 cm from the edge and gather. Stitch the upper front part to the lower front part. Overlock the seam and press towards the lower front part.
  4. Stitch the upper back part to the lower back part. Overlock the seam and press towards the lower back part.
  5. Press the bias binding in half lengthwise; finish the armhole edges of the front and back, and the back neckline edge.
  6. Overlock the center back edge. Stitch the center back seam up to the notch for the zipper. Press open the center back seam, press the allowances for the zipper. Insert the zipper.
  7. Stitch the side and shoulder seams of the dress. Overlock and press the side and shoulder seams of the dress towards the back.
  8. Overlock the bottom edge of the dress, fold up, and topstitch at 0.5 cm from the bottom edge.
