- From lining fabric:
- 1. Back (center) – 1 qty
- 2. Front (center) – 2 qty
- From fusible interfacing: facing (front), upper collar.
Sewing Instructions
- Reinforce the front facing and upper collar with fusible interfacing.
- Mark and stitch darts on the front. Press darts downwards. Mark and stitch darts on the back. Press darts towards the center back.
- Overlock the outer contour of the pocket and press it according to the pattern. Stitch the upper edge to the pocket, mark the pocket placement, and stitch it along the contour 0.2 cm from the pocket edge.
- Stitch and press open the side and shoulder seam allowances of the vest. Mark and punch eyelets in the lower corners of the vest.
- Fold the collar pieces and stitch along the contour. Trim, turn out the collar corners. Press the collar.
- Attach the zipper to the edge of the front opening. Fold the edges of the front opening in the zipper area and press.
- Stitch and press open the side seam allowances of the front hem facing and back hem facing. Place the hem facings face to face with the vest and stitch the bottom edge of the garment. Topstitch the hem facing allowance 0.2 cm from the seam onto the facings, stopping 5 cm from the front opening.
- Place the front facing onto the right side of the front, face down, pin. Attach the lower edge of the front facing to the upper edge of the front facing, stopping 1 cm from the edge of the front facing. Stitch the front openings with the front facings along the front opening line. Stitching is done from the front side. Trim the seams of the lower front opening corners. Turn the front openings to the right side, straighten the seams, and press.
- Attach the collar into the neckline of the vest and front facings, stopping 3 cm from the end of the front facing neckline edge. Topstitch 0.5 cm along the front opening line.
- Stitch the lining pieces, leaving an opening in the right side seam. Press the lining. Thread a decorative cord through the eyelets.
- Attach the lining to the front facings, hem facings, and upper collar, aligning the lining seams with the garment seams. Press open the collar attachment seam allowances and secure close to the seams. Turn the vest right side out and stitch the lining side seam.
