Sewing Instructions
- Attach the yoke to the front, overlock the attachment seam and topstitch at a distance of 0.5 cm from the attachment seam.
- Mark the pocket placement on the front and back. Overlock the outer edge of the pocket side and press it under by 1 cm. Attach the side to the pocket. Overlock the attachment seam. Overlock: the bottom edge, the top edge of the pocket, and the pocket opening edge. Fold under, press, and topstitch the pocket opening allowance. Press the top and bottom edges of the pocket by 1 cm. Place the pocket on the marking and topstitch the pocket side at a distance of 0.2 cm from the edge, stopping 2-2.5 cm from the end. Topstitch the top side of the pocket at a distance of 0.2 cm from the edge, making bar tacks at the pocket corners 2-2.5 cm long. Topstitch the bottom side of the pocket at a distance of 0.2 cm from the edge, making bar tacks at the corners 2-2.5 cm long, simultaneously stitching the gap in the seam.
- Attach side 2 to pocket 2 and overlock the attachment seam. Overlock the top edge of the pocket, press, and topstitch at a distance of 0.5 cm from the pocket edge.
- Overlock the side edges of the front and back. Stitch the right side seam of the dress and topstitch pocket 2 according to the markings.
- Overlock the center back seam, stitch, and press open. Overlock and press under the side edges of the casing by 1 cm and topstitch along the short edges at a distance of 0.5 cm from the edge. Mark the casing attachment location and topstitch along the long sides at a distance of 0.2 cm from the edge.
- Stitch the left side seam of the dress from notch to notch and press open, pressing the slits. Topstitch along the slit at a distance of 0.5 cm from the edge. Insert the zipper.
- Fold the bias binding in half and press. Finish the edges with bias binding: the neckline of the front and back, and the armholes.
- Stitch the shoulder edges of the dress. Overlock the seams and press towards the back.
- Overlock the hem of the dress, fold under, and topstitch. Thread the cord through the casing.
