CUTTER'S MUST

  • Fly Facing – 1 QTY
  • FRONT PANEL – 2 QTY
  • BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
  • Waistband – 1 QTY

Sewing Instructions

  1. Reinforce the waistband and fly FACING with FUSIBLE INTERFACING.
  2. Mark and stitch the darts on the front and back pant halves. Press the darts on the front pant half towards the center front, and the darts on the back pant half towards the center back.
  3. Serge: the side SEAM ALLOWANCES of the back and front halves, the inseam SEAM ALLOWANCES of the front and back halves, the front and center SEAM ALLOWANCES of the pant halves. Stitch the side seams of the front and back halves. Press open the side seams.
  4. Stitch and press open the inseam SEAM ALLOWANCES. Stitch the front SEAM ALLOWANCE and the center SEAM ALLOWANCE up to the NOTCH for the ZIPPER. Stitch a second line along the seat seam next to the stitching of the front and center seam.
  5. Press the one-piece ZIPPER FACINGS to the wrong side. Stitch the ZIPPER under the edge of the ZIPPER allowance (left side) to the edge. Stitch the free ZIPPER tape to the right half, to the one-piece FACING. Fold the fly FACING in half lengthwise and stitch, short bottom edge. Topstitch the one-piece ZIPPER FACING onto the fly FACING on the left pant half. Topstitch the right edge of the opening, catching the FACING.
  6. Mark and serge the buttonholes on the pant waistband. Press the waistband in half lengthwise, wrong sides together, and serge the lower inner edge of the waistband.
  7. Turn under the ends of the ties. Fold the ties lengthwise and stitch 0.7 cm from the fold. Turn the ties right side out and press. Stitch the ends closed.
  8. Stitch the waistband to the upper edge of the pants. Stitch the ends of the waistband, trim the SEAM ALLOWANCES at the corners and turn out. Topstitch the lower serged edge of the waistband into the attachment seam and press the waistband in its finished form. Thread the tie through the waistband.
  9. Serge and press the hem allowance to the wrong side. Topstitch the hem allowances onto the pants.
  10. Sew a hook to the right end of the waistband and a loop to the left.
