- FROM FUSIBLE INTERFACING: BACK PANEL neckline FACING, FRONT PANEL neckline FACING.
Sewing Instructions
- Reinforce the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL neckline FACING with FUSIBLE INTERFACING.
- Stitch and serge the darts on the FRONT PANEL. Press the dart seams towards the center of the FRONT PANEL.
- Stitch and serge the dart seams on the BACK PANEL. Press towards the center of the BACK PANEL.
- Stitch and serge the side seams. Press the side seams towards the BACK PANEL.
- Press the BIAS BINDING for the BACK PANEL neckline and FRONT PANEL armhole in half lengthwise, right side out. Insert the BACK PANEL neckline edge, FRONT PANEL neckline, and FRONT PANEL armhole edge into the prepared binding and topstitch 0.1 cm from the lower fold.
- Stitch the shoulder edges of the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL neckline FACING. Press open the shoulder seams of the FACINGs.
- Fold the straps lengthwise and stitch 0.5 cm from the fold. Turn the straps right side out and press. Attach the straps to the outer edge of the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL neckline FACING.
- Place the FACING pieces right sides together and stitch the neckline edge. Topstitch the FACING SEAM ALLOWANCE 0.2 cm from the seam onto the lower FACINGs. Stitch the outer edge of the FACINGs and turn right side out through the center edge of the FACING. Tuck in the center edge of the FACING and press into finished position. Topstitch along the center edge of the FACING 0.2 cm from the edge.
- Serge and stitch the center BACK PANEL seam from the ZIPPER mark to the hem. Press open the center BACK PANEL seam, pressing the slit for the ZIPPER. Place the ZIPPER under the slit so that the teeth are not visible, and stitch in place.
- Put on the dress, adjust the length of the straps, and topstitch the free ends to the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL.
- Serge, fold, and topstitch the hem of the garment.
