Tech. Description

Strappy Halter Midi Dress

Introducing an elegant women's midi dress sewing pattern featuring a high halter neckband joined to the bodice by multiple parallel straps, and a sleek princess-seamed silhouette.

When To Wear

This sophisticated midi dress is perfect for creating a chic impression at various events:

  • Summer Soirees: Ideal for garden parties, outdoor weddings, or elegant evening gatherings in warm weather.
  • Vacation & Resort Wear: a stylish choice for dinners out or special events during a holiday.
  • Semi-Formal Occasions: Suitable for events that call for polished and contemporary attire.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: a close-fitting column silhouette shaped by princess seams, flaring slightly towards the hem and skimming the body gracefully.

Neckline: a striking halter neckline: a high round neckband (made from the neckline facings) is joined to the bias-bound neckline by four parallel straps at the front and four at the back, creating a modern, cage-like detail.

Back: The back maintains a sleek profile with princess seams, a center back seam and a discreet invisible zipper closure.

Length: The dress falls to a sophisticated midi length, offering versatile styling for various occasions.

Details: Front and back princess seams from the armholes provide a flattering, contoured fit; the front armholes, front neckline and back neckline are bound with bias tape.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Requires precision in constructing multi-panel seams, attaching intricate halter straps, and inserting an invisible zipper.
