- From fusible interfacing: Front Skirt Facing and Back Skirt Facing.
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interfacing to the Front Skirt Facing and Back Skirt Facing.
- Overlock the side edges of the front and back skirt. Stitch the side seams of the front and back skirt, leaving an opening for the zipper in the left side seam. Press the side seams open, pressing the zipper opening allowances as well.
- Overlock the side edges of the lower front and lower back skirt, the front and back flounces, and the front and back flounces 2. Stitch the side seams of the lower front and lower back skirt, the front and back flounces, and the front and back flounces 2. Press the seams open.
- Baste the flounce (Front/Back Flounce) to the upper edge of the lower skirt section, then stitch both layers to the front and back skirt, matching the side seams. Remove the basting and overlock the seam. Press the seam towards the skirt.
- Stitch flounce 2 to the lower edge of the lower skirt section. Overlock the seam and press it towards the skirt.
- Stitch the right side seam of the front and back facings. Press the seam open and overlock the outer (lower) edge of the facings.
- Insert the zipper. Face the upper edge of the front and back skirt with the facing. Understitch the seam allowance onto the facing 0.2 cm from the seam. Turn under the side edges of the facing at the zipper and slipstitch by hand.
- Overlock the lower edges of both flounce tiers, turn up the hem allowances, press and topstitch.
- Mark and set the eyelets. Thread the cord through the eyelets.
