Sewing Instructions
- Fuse fusible interfacing to the front and back facings, and the front and back parts of the waistband.
- Stitch the right side seam of the waistband and press open. Mark and overlock buttonholes on the waistband at the right side seam and in the middle of the back waistband. Cut decorative cord and topstitch it to the side seam of the waistband. Place waistband pieces right sides together and stitch: the top, bottom, and side edges of the waistband, leaving an opening in the top edge. Trim corners and turn the waistband right side out. Press the waistband into its finished shape. Topstitch 0.5 cm from the top edge, catching the opening.
- Overlock: the side edge of the back and front halves, the inseam edges of the front and back halves, the front and center edges of the pant halves. Stitch the side edges of the front and back halves, leaving openings for the zipper in the left side seam and for the bottom slits. Press side seams open and press the slits. Topstitch along the contour of the slits in the side seam.
- Stitch and press open the inseams. Stitch the front edge and the center edge. Stitch a second line along the seat seam next to the stitching line of the front and center seam.
- Press the seam allowances for the zipper along the edges to the wrong side. Place the zipper under the slit so that the teeth are not visible, and stitch in place.
- Stitch and press open the right side seam of the front and back facings. Overlock the inner edge of the facings. Place the stitched facings right sides together and stitch the top edge. Topstitch the seams onto the facing 0.2 cm from the stitching line and press.
- Overlock the hem allowance and press to the wrong side. Topstitch the hem allowances to the pants.
- Mark and sew buttons on the center seam of the back half and the right side seam.
