A women's straight tunic blouse with an open stand collar, a deep V-shaped placket opening fastened with two hooks, a centre front seam below the placket and set-in sleeves with deep slit cuffs.

Key Design Features

Back – 1 piece

From fusible interfacing: Placket, Cuff, Stand Collar.

Sewing Instructions

Fuse interfacing to the Placket, Cuff, and Stand Collar pieces.
Mark the darts on the front and back. Stitch the darts on the back and front, press the darts on the front downwards, and on the back towards the center back.
Overlock the center front edges of the Fronts and stitch the center front seam up to the lower notch. Press the center front seam open.
Stitch the center seam of the Placket pieces from the lower notch and press open. Press the outer edge of the placket by 1 cm. Place the placket and the blouse together and stitch the placket to the front opening edges. Turn the placket to the wrong side of the front and press. Topstitch the pressed edge of the placket onto the front.
Stitch the side and shoulder seams of the blouse. Overlock the shoulder and side seams. Press the shoulder and side seams towards the back.
Place the two Stand Collar pieces right sides together and stitch around the ends and upper edge, trim the corners, turn right side out and press.
Sew the inner stand to the neckline, turn under the raw edge of the outer stand, and topstitch it in the ditch of the attaching seam.
Stitch the sleeve seams.
Fold the cuffs in half crosswise, right sides together, stitch the short sides up to the marks. Clip the seam allowance at the top of the slit. Fold the cuffs in half lengthwise, right sides together, stitch the edges of the slit.
Attach the cuffs to the bottom of the sleeve and overlock the upper edge of the cuff together with the sleeve. Topstitch the cuff attachment seam onto the sleeve, and topstitch along the bottom of the cuff and the edge of the slits.
Set in the sleeves, easing the cap.
Overlock, hem, and topstitch the bottom of the blouse. Sew on the hooks at the placket opening.
