CUTTER'S MUST

  • From main fabric:
    1. BACK PANEL (center) – 2 QTY
    2. BACK PANEL (side) – 2 QTY
    3. FRONT PANEL (center) - 4 QTY
    4. FRONT PANEL (side) – 2 QTY
  • From LINING fabric:
    1. BACK PANEL (center) – 2 QTY
    2. BACK PANEL (side) – 2 QTY
    3. FRONT PANEL (side) – 2 QTY
  • FROM FUSIBLE INTERFACING: center FRONT PANEL.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse the center FRONT PANEL.
  2. Stitch and press open the princess seams of the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL.
  3. Stitch and press open the side seams of the BODICE.
  4. Stitch and press open the shoulder seams of the BODICE.
  5. Place the interfaced center FRONT PANEL face down onto the right side of the center FRONT PANEL. Stitch the front edges and neckline of the FRONT PANEL with the center FRONT PANEL, stopping 5 cm before the shoulder edges.
  6. Stitch the LINING pieces. Press the LINING.
  7. Place the LINING and BODICE right sides together and stitch to the inner edges of the center FRONT PANEL. Stitch the shoulder edges of the LINING and the shoulder edges of the center FRONT PANEL. Stitch the back neckline and the unstitched part of the FRONT PANEL neckline. Leave open sections of the armhole at the bottom, about 10cm long, and stitch the upper part of the armhole. Trim SEAM ALLOWANCES close to the stitching. Pull the FRONT PANELS back through the shoulder tunnels and turn the BODICE right side out through one of the open side seams. Stitch the lower part of the armhole.
  8. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES for the BODICE hem to the wrong side and hand stitch. Stitch the center FRONT PANEL to the hem.
  9. On the right FRONT PANEL, make buttonholes, and on the left FRONT PANEL, sew on buttons.
  10. Mark and punch eyelets on the center BACK PANEL and thread the cord.
