Fabric Recommendations

Choose knitted fabrics that offer comfort and flexibility:

  • Knitted fabric with a brushed or terry reverse side (e.g., jersey, velvet on a knitted base)

Additional Supplies

  • Fusible interfacing
  • 1 separable zipper
  • Elastic cord for hood
  • 2 cord stoppers

CUTTER'S MUST

  • MAIN FABRIC:
  • FRONT PANEL - 2 QTY
  • BACK PANEL - 1 QTY
  • SLEEVE - 2 QTY
  • SIDE PANEL - 2 QTY
  • HOOD - 2 QTY
  • CENTER HOOD PANEL - 1 QTY
  • FACING - 2 QTY
  • POCKET BAG - 4 QTY
  • WELT - 2 QTY

TIP: To ensure the material remains stretchy in the areas of finished seams, stitch the cut pieces with a narrow zigzag or special stretchy stitch. To keep the bottom edge stretchy, overcast the hem with an overlock stitch, then attach it using a twin needle. The same applies to finishing other edges of the garment that should not lose elasticity. These recommendations do not apply to industrial production.

Sewing Instructions

  1. PATCH POCKET WITH WELT. Fuse the welt with fusible interfacing, fold in half, and press. Place pocket bags right sides together, insert the welt between them, and stitch the pocket opening edge. Turn out and press the pocket bags.
  2. GARMENT ASSEMBLY. Place the finished patch pocket onto the side panel according to markings. Attach the side panel to the FRONT PANEL, simultaneously inserting the patch pocket with welt. Topstitch the attachment seam. Stitch shoulder seams. Stitch side seams. Stitch SLEEVES. Set SLEEVES into armholes. Stitch hood parts. Overcast buttonholes on the hood according to markings. Fold and topstitch the allowance along the front edge of the hood. Set the hood into the neckline.
  3. ZIPPER CLOSURE. Place the ZIPPER along the garment's front edge, right sides together (teeth facing away from the edge). Finish the front edges with the FACING, simultaneously inserting the ZIPPER. Finish the neckline with the FACING and topstitch it to the shoulder seam.
  4. Press up the hem of the bottom and SLEEVES. Topstitch the bottom of the garment and the bottom of the SLEEVES.
  5. Press the finished jacket.
