Sewing Instructions
- POCKET IN SEAM. Stitch pocket bags to the pocket opening edge of the side front panel and pocket. Clip the SEAM ALLOWANCE and press the pocket bags. Topstitch the pocket opening.
- ASSEMBLING THE MAIN GARMENT. Stitch the pocket to the center front panel. Topstitch the seam. Stitch the side front panel to the center front panel. Topstitch. Stitch the pocket bags. Place bar tacks at the pocket opening. Stitch the yoke to the FRONT PANEL. Topstitch the seam. Stitch the side back panel to the center back panel. Stitch the shoulder seams. Stitch the side seams. Stitch the SLEEVES. Set the SLEEVES into the armholes. Stitch the HOOD. Stitch the HOOD LINING. Stitch the HOOD FACING. Stitch the FACING to the HOOD LINING. Finish the HOOD. Topstitch the HOOD FACING to the HOOD. Set the HOOD into the neckline.
- LINING. Stitch the darts on the LINING pieces. Stitch the front facing to the front panel LINING. Stitch the back neck FACING to the back panel LINING. Stitch the LINING pieces. In the seam of one of the SLEEVES, leave an unstitched opening for turning.
- ZIPPER FASTENING. Place the ZIPPER face down on the edge of the garment opening (teeth pointing away from the edge). Finish the edges of the garment opening with the front facing, simultaneously inserting the ZIPPER. Finish the neckline with the LINING.
- Press up the hem and SLEEVE hems. Stitch the garment hem and SLEEVE hems to the LINING.
- Close the opening.
- Press the finished jacket.
